William married Edith Mercy Powell on October 4th, 1894, at Ashington, Sussex. Edith was born Oct-December 1867 at Brighton, the daughter of Emmis & Peter Powell, a farmer.
In 1901 William & Edith were living at Rookcross Farm, West Grinstead, Sussex where William was a farmer.
William & Edith had moved to Mill House, Coolham, Shipley, Horsham, Sussex by 1911. William described his occupation as ‘farmer usually'! They now had a 7 year old son, John William.
