Alice Fry was the seventh child of Elizabeth Brett & John Fry born Jan-March 1881 at Rusper, Sussex.
In 1881 & 1891 Alice was living at Peters Farm, Rusper, Sussex with her parents & brothers & sisters.
By 1901 Alice, her 2 sisters Elizabeth & Emily, & her brother John were living at Soles Farm, Nuthurst, Horsham, Sussex with their widowed mother.
On December 18th, 1907 Alice married Samson Dale at West Grinstead, Sussex. Samson was born Jan-March 1879 at Washington, Sussex, the son of Harriet & Jacob Dale, an agricultural labourer. At the time of the 1901 census Samson was working as a game keeper.
In 1911 Alice & Samson were living at Rookland Cottages, West Grinstead, Horsham & Samson was employed as a gamekeeper. They had 2 daughters – Emily Louisa (2) & Kitty (8 months).
