Samuel Freeth [fh.4.6.1.5.1]

Samuel Freeth was the first child of Samuel Freeth & Sarah Round christened August 29th, 1824 at Smethwick, Staffs.

Samuel was unfortunately born deaf & dumb. In 1841 he & his parents & brother Job & sister Hannah were living at Nine Seasons, Smethwick.

Samuel continued to live at home at Nine Seasons & was there in 1851 with 2 younger sisters & 2 brothers.

In 1861 Samuel was working as a glass packer like his father & still living at home at Nine Seasons. His brother Joseph, a glass cutter, was also at home.

By 1871 his mother had died & probably so had his father as living at Nine Seasons were Joseph as head of household along with Samuel & sister Hannah. Joseph was a sheet glass cutter & Samuel still a glass packer & Hannah was their housekeeper.

Samuel died in Jan-March 1874, aged 49, the death being registered at Kings Norton.
