In the 1841 census at the age of 12 Sarah was a servant for William Lloyd, an ironmonger, & his family at High St, West Bromwich, Staffs.
Sarah was at home at Nine Seasons, Smethwick at the time of the 1851 census.
There were 2 brothers & 2 sisters at home. Sarah was now a dressmaker.
