Hannah Freeth was the fifth child of Samuel Freeth & Sarah Round christened November 2nd, 1834 at Smethwick, Staffs.
In 1841 Hannah & her parents & brothers Samuel & Job were living at Nine Seasons, Smethwick.
Hannah continued to live at home at Nine Seasons & was there in 1851 with 1 sisters & 3 brothers. Hannah was working as a dressmaker.
In 1861 Hannah was visiting widower Thomas Timmins, a grocer, who lived at the grocer’s shop in Oldbury Rd, Smethwick.
In 1871 Hannah was living with her 2 brothers at Nine Seasons, Smethwick. Joseph, a sheet glass cutter was head of the household & Samuel, who was deaf & dumb was a glass packer. Hannah was the housekeeper.
By 1881 Nine Seasons had become a tobacco shop & brother Joseph was now a tea dealer & tobacconist. Hannah was described as a charwoman.
Hannah was found in the Kings Norton Union Workhouse at the time of the 1891 census. She was described as a house keeper & domestic servant.
Hannah died soon after the census in 1891 at the age of 58.
