Joseph Freeth [fh.4.6.1.5.8]

Joseph Freeth was the eighth child of Samuel Freeth & Sarah Round born Oct-December, 1841 at Smethwick, Staffs.

Joseph was living at home at Nine Seasons, Smethwick in 1851 with 2 sisters & 2 brothers.

In 1861 Joseph was working as a glass cutter & still living at home at Nine Seasons. His brother Samuel, a glass packer, was also at home.

Joseph, a sheet glass cutter was head of the household at Nine Seasons in 1871. His sister Hannah was living with Joseph and acting as housekeeper. Also there was Samuel who was deaf & dumb & who was a glass packer.

By 1881 Nine Seasons had become a tobacco shop & Joseph was now a tea dealer & tobacconist. Hannah was still with him & described as a charwoman.

Joseph died in April-June 1887, aged 47, his death being registered at Kings Norton.
