William Pallister was the second child of Catherine Pallister born April 25th, 1872 at Wrekenton & christened June 5th, 1872 at St Edmund's, Gateshead.
William's mother Catherine married Richard Blythman, a locomotive fitter, in 1880 & in the 1881 census William & his older brother Joseph were with their mother & stepfather at Eighton Banks, Lamesley, Co Durham. They were listed with surname Blythman.
In 1891William was still at home, now Galloping Green, Eighton Banks, Lamesley & he was now a clerk at the school board office.
William married Florence Mounsey in July 18th, 1900 at Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Florence was born June 4th, 1876 at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, the daughter of Sarah Scott & Joseph Mounsey, a joiner & advertising agent.
In 1901 William & Florence were living at 129 Innship Terrace, Gateshead & William was described as a clerk & accountant. Living with them was Florence's younger sister, Sarah E Mounsey (16).
By 1911 William & Florence had moved to 19 Lawe Cottages, South Shields, Co Durham & William was now a collector & assessor of income tax. They had 4 children – Catherine, known as Kitty (9), Norman Leonard (8), Evelyn (6) & Ronald (2). Living with them was William's widowed stepfather, Richard Blythman (74) who was a retired locomotive fitter.

Florence died in 1949 at South Shields.
William died in 1955 at South Shields.
