Joseph Stones was born c1766 at Brierley Hill, Kingswinford, Staffs.

Joseph married Miranda Barber (nee Hatton) on February 25th, 1793 at Halesowen, Worcs. Miranda had previously been married to Benjamin Barber on November 8th, 1790 at Old Swinford, Worcestershire.

Joseph died in July-September 1838, the death being registered at Dudley, Staffs.
