In 1861 Edwin was living with his parents & 3 brothers at Cross St, Wednesbury.
Edwin was the only son at home in the 1871 census & they were still living at Cross St, at no. 55. Edwin was working as an iron roller.
Edwin married Sarah Hannah Marshall in July-September 1873 at Sheffield. Sarah Hannah Evans was born c1840 at Sheffield, Yorks & had previously been married to Joseph Marshall, a machine grinder, who died in 1872 at Huddersfield.
Edwin & Sarah were living at 52 Dane St, Brightside Bierlow, Sheffield
in 1881 & Edwin was a plate mill fireman.
In 1891 Edwin & Sarah were at 31Woodbine Rd, Brightside Bierlow & Edwin was now described as a general labourer.
By 1901 they were living at Court 2, House 4, Chambers Lane, Brightside Bierlow
& Edwin was still a general labourer. They appear not to have had any
children.
