George Frederick Wall was the ninth child of Edward Wall & Mabel Wale born 1863 at West Bromwich.
George was living at home in 1871 with his widowed father, brothers & sister at Newhall St, West Bromwich.
In 1881 George was living with his sister Hannah, now married to William Bradbury, a railway coach maker, & their family. They were living at Lewisham Rd, Harborne & George was working as a railway coach painter.
On January 31st, 1886 George married Sarah Willetts at West Bromwich. Sarah was the daughter of John & Elizabeth Willetts christened September 8th, 1861 at Harborne, Staffs.
By 1891 George & Sarah were living at Zoar ? St, Wolverhampton. George was a house painter & he & Sarah had a daughter Mabel, aged 4.
In 1901George & Sarah were still living at Wolverhampton but had moved to 2 All Saints Rd. George was still a house painter & they now had 3 children – Mabel, now a general domestic servant, William E (4) & Edith (1).
George died October-December 1904, aged 41 at Wolverhampton.
In 1911 widowed Sarah was living at 8 St Marks St, Wolverhampton with her daughter Edith & 2 grandchildren – Ada Mole (3) & Irene Mole (2). These were the children of daughter Mabel Elizabeth who had married Allan Mole in 1907. Sarah’s son William Edward was found listed as a scholar at Princess Alice’s Orphanage, New Oscott, Erdington, Aston. It was noted on the census that Sarah & George had had 8 children, only 3 of whom were still alive.
